The reasons for this blog and site
First, this site is design to bring to the Grenadian public a different but rational view about religion and religious thinking. My goal is to help foster a change for the betterment of the human family. This I hope to accomplish by assisting in educating the Grenadian public and the wider world about the irrationality of religion, show how that irrationality plagues and harm human society.
Indeed, for hundreds of years, religion has subjected people to severe mental imprisonment, and turned otherwise rational people into irrational nuts. Religion breeds ignorance where by people ignores the facts and as a result gives rise to racism, hatred, separation and war.
Certainly, for years, I have been encountering many Grenadians who show unintelligent aggression towards me concerning the belief I hold towards God and the Bible. Indeed, Grenada’s population is about 90% Christians and the remaining 10% certainly divided among other religious faith, including Rastafari; thus, escaping discussions about the Bible and God is almost imposable. So one can imagine how hard it is to hold an apposing view in a little village overflowing with Christian sentiments, yet not one of these people holes his or her faith because of his or her research and investigation. Instead, almost all are irrational blind believers. Indeed, this is where investment in a contrary viewpoint to Christianity in Grenada finds its difficulty, and you, as I am, will most certainly be perceives as something other than good.
In my village, for example, the people, old and young, who are totally unschooled regarding their religion, are the most aggressive of defenders. Their ability to listen to another’s viewpoint is absolute nil. Yet many undertakes what they termed as “God's work” to recruit others into that which they belief, an undertaking that cause lash-backs and eventually build enemies. It is because of these experiences I decided to express my opinion on the Bible.
Secondly, this site/blog will also help expose the horrible things happened on a daily basses in our community and around the world, for example, domestic violence, incest, pedophilic incidents, and much more.
Last, but not list, this site will offer Freethinkers, Atheist and Agnostics from Grenada a place to converse and not be ridicule by religious closed-minded Grenadians. My site will most certainly help. Enjoy my site and blog.
