Among black people, the reason for the loveaffair we have with religion is often debated. Why do black people love religion so much is often the question? The answer I often heard given is the black people are "naturally" spiritual people. My goal here is not to adress the idea of how spiritual deep are black people, my question, however, is how spiritual someone can be to accept religions that subjected their fore-parents to gross subjections of evil. In fact, it was under such evil conditions religion Christianity was forced upon them, for example, Slavery, and to accomplish such force conversion, black people original culture and their "spiritual" identities were forced out from them.
